ISBN:978-0-06-440731-1 Seventeen year old Steven Martin black is accused in taking part in the robbery and murder of Mr. Anguinaldo Nesbitt owner of a neighborhood drug store. According to authorities, prior to the robbery there was a plan, or conspiracy to rob the store. Detective Petronneli states, that Steven Martin's role in the murder of Mr. Nesbitt was to scan the store and signal the other accomplices to proceed with their plan to rob and kill the owner. Prosecutor Petronneli, has called to the stand tprisoner Osvaldo also know as Bobo a member of the gang Diablos to testify against Steve Martin.  According to Defense attorney, Osvaldo has nothing to lose by involving an innocent man to this murder. Chapter 11: Realistic Fiction Realistic Fiction also know as contemporary and Modern Fiction are stories that could have happened to people and animals in real world setting.  They resemble real life and fictional characters that act as real people in the world. When choosing realistic fictional books, there are certain things to consider beforehand as students are exposed to reading.  For example, does the speech and behavior of the character represent believable behaviors in the real world? Does the story contain more than one theme? Is the topic and subject matter of the story coincide with the modern world. This means that topics that young adults are having to deal with may be part of the evaluation process when reading realistic fictional books. During these years, their bodies start developing and they may start questioning who they're supposed to be or look like.
